The Nordstrom Beat the Bridge to Beat Diabetes is a fundraiser for JDRF — the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. The event is the largest fundraiser for JDRF nationally. Nordstrom Beat the Bridge has raised more than $19.5 million since its inception in 1983. The event was started by a group of Nordstrom employees who wanted to support a coworker whose young son had been diagnosed with T1D. For the 36th year of the event, I was tasked with creating a design that felt exciting, optimistic, and dynamic, as well as connected to the Seattle community. My role: Creative concept and Design
